Operations Division

The City of Macomb, Illinois, is hiring a Full-Time City Forester for the Operations Division.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and oversee the City’s community forestry and tree maintenance programs
• Coordinate tree planting, trimming, removals, and care of City-owned trees
• Respond to citizen concerns and enforce City tree ordinances and policies
• Assist with seasonal Public Works operations including storm response and snow removal
Requirements:
• Education, training, and/or experience in urban forestry, horticulture, biology, or a related field
• Certified Arborist credential or ability to obtain within one year of hire
• Illinois Public Pesticide Applicator License or ability to obtain within six months
• Valid CDL required
• Ability to safely operate forestry equipment and work outdoors in varying conditions

Compensation & Benefits:
• Salary: Starting Salary $53,004.55 annually
