The City of Macomb is seeking a Full-Time Deputy Clerk to join our Clerk’s Office team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Greet and direct customers.
• Handle incoming telephone calls.
• Attend and take minutes at the Committee of the Whole meetings.
• Transcribe minutes from the City Council, Committee of the Whole, and Sub-committee
meetings.
• Prepare and post agendas for City Council, Committee of the Whole, and Sub-committee
meetings.
• Receive and process special event requests.
• Residency in McDonough County required
• Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check
Requirements:
• A minimum of two years of experience in general office, secretarial, or accounting.
• Proficient knowledge of basic computer programs used in the City Clerk’s Office.
• Able to maintain favorable public relations with city staff, customers, and elected officials.
• Possess good organizational skills and memory for details.
Compensation & Benefits:
• Salary: $40,868.22-$54,490.96
