WHAT: Free Kayaking for any WIU student (with WIU ID) and their mom

PONTOON TOURS OF SPRING LAKE
WHEN: Saturday, April 15th @ 9am-4pm / Sunday, April 16th @ 9am-3pm
WHERE: Spring Lake Park
WHAT: Enjoy a pontoon tour of Spring Lake for the Moms’ Day weekend. Tours will be offered every hour on the hour for families up to 10 people. There will be no cost for the tour but tips are allowed for our drivers To reserve your ride please call 309-833-2052 during business hours.

WHERE: Macomb Arts Center, 25 East Side Square, Macomb
WHAT: The Macomb Arts Center is holding a fundraiser for new carpet in the center. Join them in a few rounds of bingo to win prizes! Tickets are $20 per person or $200 for a reserved table of 8 (guarantees seating together. Raffles, snacks and cash bar available. Click HERE for tickets and more information.
NATURE MAKERS WORKSHOP:
SIMPLE LEAF MONOPRINTS
WHEN: April 15
WHERE: Lakeview Nature Area and Center
WHAT: We will use dried leaves and watercolor to create a series of beautiful prints! We will walk you through simple steps as you explore a fun twist on printmaking with nature! We can’t wait to create with you! Pre-registration is required at Macombparkdistrict.com/programs.
PRAIRIE EGG HUNT
WHEN: All weekend!
WHERE: Lakeview Nature Area and Center
WHAT: This is a FREE, self-guided, outdoor event open to visitors every day from 9 AM – 6 PM. Eight ceramic eggs with accompanying nature facts are placed throughout the prairie for you to discover! As a reminder for you to come prepared, the restrooms at the center will not be open during this time.
MACOMB SCHOOL OF MAGIC SCULPTURE PARK
WHERE: Nestled at the edge of Downtown Macomb, Next to Citizens bank and the Macomb Post Office
WHAT: Each sculpture in this park reflects aspects of our local parks, as well as the history and culture of Macomb. Please feel free to try and pull the sword from our local stone, or see if you can find your face in the stack of local vases. Perhaps the spinning Zoetrope is more your kind of illusion, or the quirky movements of our local birds. However you choose to interact, we are glad you are here!
EVERWOOD DISC GOLF COURSE
WHERE: Glenwood Park
WHAT: This 18 hole course offers beautiful scenery throughout a variety of holes that start tight with a moderate covering of mature trees and change in relief and obstacles, finishing with long challenging open holes. The front nine, located in Glenwood Park, offers shorter holes with a mix of birdie chances with tight approaches. These holes are tree-laden rewarding accurate drives and punish wayward tee shots and approaches. Go have some fun!
VETERANS PARK QR FIT TRAIL
WHERE: Veterans Park
WHAT: This park offers over 1.7 miles of walking trails which includes QR fitness codes along the route with varying exercises. You will also find Outdoor fitness Equipment near the playground. We hope you enjoy a beautiful day of walking, running, or jogging!
FORGOTTONIA BREWING
WHERE: Forgottonia Taproom
WHAT: Stop in Forgottonia Brewing for food, beer and music. In addition to beer, Forgottonia also serves Guest Hard Cider, Local Wine on Tap, and canned cocktails . For Moms' Day, Forgottonia is offering $1 off flights.
Friday, April 14: Food Truck: Sandra’s Authentic Mexican Taquiza (all tacos menu) - They will have Asada, Al pastor, Barbacoa, Quesabirria, and many more from 4 pm to 9 pm (Cash Only).
