Anders Johnson "Sea Legs”

Kentucky artist, Anders Johnson, will have his solo exhibition, "Sea Legs", on display October 6 through November 12 at the Western Illinois University Art Gallery. 

An opening reception for the artist will be held Thursday, November 12, 4:30-6:00 p.m. The artist will speak about his work at 5:00 pm.
 
Anders Johnson is an artist and educator based in Bowling Green, Kentucky.  He received a BA from North Park University and an MFA from Indiana University.  He is currently an Assistant Professor of Art/Foundations at Western Kentucky University.

Recent exhibitions include solo shows at the Tom Thomas Gallery at IU East (Richmond, IN) and the Red Brick Center for the Arts (Aspen, CO). He has been included in selected group exhibitions at Warnes Contemporary (Brooklyn, NY), Indy Art Center (Indianapolis, IN), and Buckham Gallery (Flint, MI), among others.  Johnson was featured in New American Paintings and on the Studio Break Podcast.  

Admission is free and open to the public. 

Parking will be allowed near the gallery starting at 4:00 p.m. on the day of the reception.
