Member Benefit Spotlight - Office Space, Conference Room &  Copier

Being a member of the Macomb Area Chamber of Commerce comes with a number of benefits, many of which are lesser known and underutilized. We would like to start highlighting these hidden gems - one of which is the use of our extra office space, conference room, copier, and shred box. Let's delve a little deeper...

USE OF THE SPARE CHAMBER OFFICE

  • Great space for small businesses who do not have a brick-and-mortar location or access to a good office space.
  • Member businesses and organizations can use this space up to ONE TIME per week and must schedule use of the space in advance.
  • Can be used during normal Chamber business hours (Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm). Use of this space in the evenings or weekends is not permitted.
  • You can schedule as little as one hour or as much as a half business day. Exceptions may apply in some circumstances.
  • There is no cost to use this space.
  • Has two desks, can accommodate two people working at a time. Extra chairs are available.
  • Access to Chamber WIFI included. 
  • Must bring your own laptop and charger.
  • Access to Chamber printer/copier/scanner if needed (see details below).
  • Some office supplies may be available (staplers, tape, pens, paper, etc.). Charges may apply if large amounts of Chamber supplies are needed. 
  • Must clean up after use. Failure to do so will result in suspension from use. Fees may apply if damage to Chamber property occurs.


USE OF THE CHAMBER CONFERENCE ROOM
  • Great for group meetings, interviews, and times when larger spaces are needed.
  • Tables comfortably seat 8-12 people. 
  • Member businesses and organizations can use this space up to ONE TIME per week and must schedule use of the space in advance.
  • Can be used during normal Chamber business hours (Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm). Use of this space in the evenings or weekends is not permitted.
  • You can schedule as little as one hour or as much as a half business day. Exceptions may apply in some circumstances.
  • There is no cost to use this space.
  • Access to Chamber WIFI included. 
  • Must bring your own laptop(s) and charger(s), if needed
  • Access to Chamber printer/copier/scanner if needed (see details below).
  • Use of the Chamber Keurig, k cups, sweeteners, and small foam coffee cups available for a fee.
  • Use of the Chamber projector available for a fee.
  • Some office supplies may be available (staplers, tape, pens, paper, etc.). Charges may apply if large amounts of Chamber supplies are needed. 
  • Must clean up after use. Failure to do so will result in suspension from use. Fees may apply if damage to Chamber property occurs.


USE OF THE CHAMBER COPIER/PRINTER/SCANNER
  • Great for member businesses and organizations who do not have access to a copier, scanner, or printer.
  • Copies and prints available in black-and-white or color.
  • Ability to print labels (must bring your own labels). 
  • Scanned items can be e-mailed to your e-mail address or saved to a jump drive (must bring your own jump drive).
  • Scans can be in PDF or JPG.
  • Fees to use the copier/printer/scanner are as follows:
    • B&W Copies: $0.10 each (colored paper in a variety of colors available for additional $0.05 per copy)
    • Color Copies: $0.25 each 
    • High resolution scan sent to e-mail or jump drive: $0.25 each
  • You MUST schedule a time to use the Chamber copier. Walk-ins will not be permitted. Bill must be paid at time of use, we will not invoice.


USE OF THE CHAMBER SHRED BOX
  • Great for small businesses and organizations to shred old bills, checks, etc.
  • Any Chamber member can use our Affordable Shred shred box.
  • Do not bring large amounts of paper to be shredded - our area banks offer bulk shred days several times per year for this purpose. We will turn away anyone who shows up with a large amount, as our shred box can only accommodate so much.
  • Contact Affordable Shred at (217) 741-1577 if your business needs regular shredded or has an especially large amount to be shredded.
