Domestic Violence Legal Advocate

Starting Pay: $17/hour. The Domestic Violence Legal Advocate provides legal advocacy for victims of domestic violence. Responsibilities include civil and criminal legal advocacy and crisis counseling.

  • Accompany clients to police stations, state’s attorney offices, and courtrooms to provide emotional support to victims as they progress through the legal system.
  • Periodic on call hotline duty on a rotational basis is a function of the position.
  • Previous experience preferred in counseling and/or court advocacy or a college degree in a related field.
