McDonough Telephone Cooperative is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the position of IT Network Install/Repair Technician. The Install/Repair Technician will work under the supervision of the Install/Repair Supervisor. This individual will be responsible for planning, installing, upgrading, and troubleshooting IT equipment on customer premise. Duties & Responsibilities:
Installs in-home wireless networks and devices
Installs, maintains and services telephone lines, cable, internet, subscriber carrier systems, terminal, protection device and customer-owned equipment
Diagnose and repair customer troubles
Locates underground copper/fiber plant facilities
Requirements:
General knowledge in network devices and concepts, such as routine, remote access
Strong computer skills related to the Internet and operating systems
General knowledge of residential/commercial construction
High level attention to detail
Strong verbal communication skills
Must have a valid driver’s license
Preferred (willing to train): Associates Degree in a Computer Science related field or minimum equivalent experience of 2 years working in an IT environment, cabling systems, and wiring topologies
