The City of Macomb, Illinois is currently seeking applications to fill a position of Regular Part-Time
Janitor (Grade 12, Hourly Rate $16.07-$21.42) for the City of Macomb.

The City of Macomb is seeking a Part-Time Janitor to perform custodial tasks across several city
buildings, including the Police Department/E-911 Center, City Hall, Public Works, and the Transit
Center. Responsibilities include cleaning and maintaining floors, restrooms, windows, and
furniture, as well as ordering and restocking cleaning supplies. The role involves daily tasks such
as emptying trash, sanitizing surfaces, vacuuming, and mopping, as well as occasional tasks like
waxing floors or shampooing carpets. Applicants must have a high school diploma, valid Illinois
driver’s license, and one to two years of building maintenance experience. The position requires
physical stamina for tasks like bending, climbing, and using cleaning equipment, as well as
attention to detail and good communication skills.
