IIRA Program Coordinator Quad-Cities Campus NEW • Work Department: Illinois Institute for Rural Affairs • Class Title/Code: (5002) • Effective Date: Jan 9, 2023 • Responsibilities: • Perform direct one to one business counseling to established small businesses. • Conduct outreach activities to increase the visibility of the PTAC program. • Maintain and establish contacts with-in the realm of government contracting at a federal, state, and local level. • Assist with government contracting forms. • Assist with navigating government contracting regulations. • Assist small business clients with registration and certification as defined by the SBA, VA and State of Illinois. • Identify, prepare and deliver educational content through workshops and conference. Presentations on topics dealing with government contracting for small businesses. • Prepare and submit reports as required by WIU • Required Qualifications: CREDENTIALS TO BE VERIFIED BY PLACEMENT OFFICER: • Bachelor's degree Business or related field • Five (5) years of active experience with government contracting. • Demonstrated use of the SAM registry for small businesses. • Demonstrated experience registering small businesses for SBA certification. *Note: Master's Degree in an area consistent with the duties of the position may be substituted for one (1 year) of work experience. Note: Must be able to obtain credentials needed to participate in purchasing activities on federal government installations. • Starting Salary: $4,311 /Monthly • Application Deadline: Feb 8, 2023 Employment - Information & Instructions Complete an online.
