Assistant Director of Marketing & Communications, UHDS • Work Department: University Housing & Dining Services • Class Title/Code: (5004) • Effective Date: Nov 22, 2021 • Responsibilities: Position Function: Management, supervision, and coordination of overall marketing, promotion, and communication within the housing and dining department. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • As a member of the UHDS Central Staff leadership team, this position is responsible for the overall management and supervision of the following areas: • Departmental Marketing and Communication • Marketing Graduate Assistant • Student Graphic Designers • Coordinates the overall marketing and promotion of Housing and Dining Services • Develops and implements a comprehensive, integrated marketing plan for residence halls, apartments, summer camps/conferences, and various special programs • Coordinates editorial and graphic design content for promotion of UHDS services, programs, processes and special events • Drafts and edits all print and electronic correspondence in a clear, concise and timely manner for various constituencies including students, parents, faculty/staff, public/private organizations • Coordinates the distribution of University Housing related print and electronic correspondence using web, social, print, and/or other mediums • Assists with the development of policies and procedures used within the University Housing and Dining Services Department and Residence Halls • Coordinates the application and implementation of departmental assessment tools and provide necessary data for reporting analysis • Establishes and maintains liaison relationships with various campus constituencies • Assist with the planning and managing of UHDS special events • Required Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, communications, public relations, graphic design, graphic communication, or a closely related field • One (1) year (12 months) of professional work experience in marketing, public relations, communications, brand management, or a related professional area. • Experience performing professional-level marketing and communication duties. *Note: Master's Degree in an area consistent with the duties of the position may be substituted for one (1 year) of work experience. • Starting Salary: $3538/mo • Application Deadline: Dec 7, 2021 Employment - Information & Instructions Complete an online.
