Wesley United Methodist Church in Macomb, Illinois, is seeking a dedicated and organized Office & Communications Manager to join our ministry team. This full-time position supports the day-to-day operations, communications, and ministries of the church, helping to fulfill our mission of cultivating growing, personal relationships with God through Jesus Christ.

- Pay Range $45,500-$48,000

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the first point of contact in the church office—greeting visitors, answering calls, and assisting members and staff.

Maintain church records, membership database, and calendars for meetings, events, and building use.

Prepare weekly worship bulletins, monthly newsletters, and special service materials (Easter, Christmas, funerals, etc.).

Manage internal and external communications, including social media, website updates, and email lists.

Support ministry teams and committees through scheduling, printing, and distributing materials.

Coordinate with staff and volunteers to ensure smooth operations for worship, programs, and community outreach.

Assist in preparing reports, maintaining security access systems, and ordering office supplies.
Qualifications

Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, Excel) and comfortable learning church database systems.

Experience managing websites and social media platforms preferred.

Ability to work independently, multitask, and adapt to changing priorities in a busy environment.

Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and Christian values.

Must pass a background check.

Knowledge of local community resources or social services is a plus.
