City of Macomb Plans Retirement Open house for
City Clerk Melanie Falk
The City of Macomb announced today that Macomb City Clerk Melanie Falk, will be retiring after 40 years of dedicated service to the residents of the City of Macomb.
An open house, honoring Falk, will be held on Friday, December 16, 2022, from 4:00pm-6:30pm at the Community Room, located on the first floor of Macomb City Hall. The event is open to the public. “We invite and encourage the community to come to City Hall to help us thank Melanie for her four decades of service to the citizens of Macomb”, said Macomb Mayor Michael Inman. “She has been a true professional, and her knowledge and expertise will be missed”, Inman added.
Falk was first hired as a Clerk in the City’s Zoning office in 1982. In 1994 Falk was appointed the Deputy City Clerk, by then City Clerk Lucille Gibson. Falk was first elected City Clerk in 1999 and has served in that capacity, winning successive elections, since then. She completed studies at Robert Morris College, Carthage, Illinois. Falk’s retirement is effective December 31, 2022
