LGBT+ Empowerment Group
All LGBT+ members and allies are welcome to attend an LGBT+ Empowerment Group in Macomb hosted by Western Illinois Regional Council - Community Action Agency (WIRC-CAA) Victim Services. Becky Cox-Medina, Domestic Violence Legal Advocate, and Brittany Schisler, Sexual Assault Children’s Counselor, formed the group to provide a place for support, resources, and conversation in a safe and confidential setting. The first group meeting will be held on Saturday, August 4 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the City Hall Community Room, 232 East Jackson Street, in Macomb. Subsequent group gatherings will be held every other Saturday at the same time, with the next meeting scheduled for August 18. Beverages and snacks will be provided.
