Advocate Informational Meeting
Long-term care residents in your community need help. They need caring volunteers to advocate for their healthcare rights (Ombudsman) when family and friends are unable to do so.
If you enjoy spending time with older adults and can volunteer for a few hours each month, consider becoming an Ombudsman for a resident at your local nursing home.
Learn more at an informational workshop hosted by WIRC on Tuesday, January 24 at 3:00 PM at their office, located at 133 West Jackson Street, Macomb, Illinois.
RSVP by filling out the online form at wirpc.org/ombudsman/, by calling 309-837-3941, or by emailing wirc@wirpc.org.
This is a great opportunity to give back to people in need, and to gain experience working with seniors.
