DESCRIPTION:Western Illinois University will host three free mental health first aid training opportunities in Macomb in February\, March and April.\n\n\n\nMental Health First Aid (MHFA) teaches you how to identify\, understand and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges among adults. The training is designed for employers\, police officers\, hospital staff\, first responders and other caring individuals.\n\n\n\nThe training sessions will be held:\n\n\n\n\n\nThursday and Friday\, Feb. 20-21\, 8 a.m. - 1pm\, location TBD\n\n\n\nWednesday\, March 12\, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.\, location TBD\n\n\n\nWednesday and Thursday\, April 9-10\, 8 a.m. - 1 p.m. McDonough County Health Department\n\n\n\n\n\n*Individuals must attend both sessions for the two-day training(s) to receive credit.\n\n\n\nThe free training is open to students\, faculty\, staff and community members. Registration is required before attending the training session.
