SUMMARY:Felted Luminaries Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Register now for "Felted Luminaries\," a felting workshop led by Maria Montalvo on Saturday\, April 30\, 10am-2:30pm (with a break for lunch). Participants will make a rectangular luminary using white wool. Silk or yarn will be added to create a design on the surface. The luminary will be about 3  " square and about 10" tall. A base with a lamp will be included.\n\n\n\nThe workshop fee is $55. We are able to offer this low price thanks to a generous donation by the late Bill and Jo Sanders for fiber arts programs at Macomb Arts Center. To register\, email info@macombartscenter.org or call 309-836-2782. Space is limited to 8 participants.\n\n\n\nOpen to anyone age 12 and up. Note: The felting process requires upper body strength to roll and shrink the fibers.
