DESCRIPTION:Dear Community Partners\,\n\n\n\nAs part of WIU's project "Addressing Equity Gaps among Rural Students\," we will host a free summer camp for first-generation college and low-income students who will be enrolled in high school during the 2025-2026 school year. Please\, spread the word among the families you serve.\n\n\n\nThis free camp features two overnight stays at WIU and several activities and workshops\, including academic and career exploration\, leadership and academic skills development\, preparation for college search and admissions\, and sports and games. We will also offer optional workshops for parents to discuss college preparation and access. The dates and times are as follows:\n\nCamp Dates for Students\n\nJune 26 - June 28\, 2025\n\nCheck-in June 26-1:00 p.m.\n\nCheck out June 28-1:00 p.m.\n\n\n\nOptional Parent Workshops\n\nJune 26 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m.\n\nJune 28 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
