DESCRIPTION:On March 26\, 2020 at 12:00pm-2:00pm\, Bridgeway is hosting the ROSC Council Meeting with a viewing of\, "The Anonymous People"\, a feature documentary film\, directed by Greg D. Williams\, about the 23.5 million Americans living in long-term recovery from alcohol and other drug addiction. The ROSC Council is a Recovery Oriented System of Care. It consists of a coordinated network of community-based services and supports that is person-centered and builds on the strengths and resilience of individuals\, families\, and communities to achieve abstinence and improved health\, wellness\, and quality of life for those with or at risk of alcohol and drug problems in McDonough County. The ROSC Council will also celebrate recovery and encourage individuals with a mental health or substance use disorder to seek treatment and achieve a healthy\, happy life. Mental health and substance use disorders can affect anyone\, including people in McDonough County. Our communities must remain vigilant and dedicated to the recovery process by helping people address these preventable and treatable conditions\, and support individuals in recovery\, as well as their family members. To be a part of the ROSC Council: Bridgeway urges all community members to become active. Families and communities can find hope and spread the message that recovery works by becoming a part of a collaboration of agencies and providers throughout McDonough County. Offering support to those experiencing mental health and substance use disorders can make a huge difference. Together we can help others realize the promise of recovery and give families the right support to help their loved ones.
