SUMMARY:A Taste of Ghana
DESCRIPTION:"A Taste of Ghana" will highlight Western Illinois University's Phi Beta Delta's (PBD) annual scholarship fundraiser at 6 p.m. Saturday\, Nov. 2\, at the Campus Students for Christ House\, 1545 Riverview Drive in Macomb. In addition to a meal of authentic Ghanaian cuisine\, there will be a presentation on Ghanaian culture\, Ghanaian entertainment and a marketplace of international items. All proceeds from this event will help Phi Beta Delta fund two scholarships for students pursuing their education in another country and learning about their culture.\n\n\n\nThe community is invited to attend. Tickets purchased in advance are $14 for non-student adults and $8 for students. Tickets at the door are $16 for non-student adults and $10 for students. All tickets for children ages 6-12 are $6 and children ages 5 and under are free. Tickets can be purchased in advance by emailing PBD treasurer Jack McKinnon at jackmckinnon@hotmail.com. Please put PBD dinner in the subject line. Seating is limited\; consider purchasing advance tickets.\n\n\n\nPBD is an international honorary for those interested in global education with over 200 chapters in the United States and other countries. In addition to funding scholarships\, PBD hosts Culture Night activities each fall and spring for incoming international students\, a Fall Fun activity at Horn Lodge for international students involving wiener roasting and pumpkin carving and international cultural events for Macomb High School.
